Who it is for

You travel.
And so does your circle.

A roaster rarely visits origin alone. These trips are designed for the three groups that matter most to your business.

You, owner or buyer

You meet the farms and the families, and cup lots before you buy. You come back with relationships and real stories to tell.

Best for deciding which farms to work with.

Your team

Roasters, cuppers, baristas and sales staff see where what they work with every day comes from. Cuppings, processing and harvest, on site.

Best as training and as a reward for the team.

Your customers

Café owners, wholesale customers and your best customers. You are the host and they see the origin of your coffee.

Best for loyalty and for opening new accounts.

How it works

Four steps.
You only choose the farms.

  1. You tell us

Who is travelling, how many people and what you want to see.

  2. You choose

The plan and the farms you want to visit.

  3. You get the proposal

Route and cost based on the plan and the number of people, within 24 hours.

  4. You land

Lodging, transport and meals already sorted. We go with you.

What you pay for

What is included.
And what is not.

Included

  • Lodging during the trip
  • Local transport between airport, hotel and farms
  • Meals, depending on the plan you choose
  • Visits to the farms you decide
  • Bilingual ES/EN guide

Not included

  • Flights to and from El Salvador

The cost is calculated by plan and number of people. Each group is up to 12 people; if there are more of you, we set up several groups. Try it in the trip calculator.

We show you the origin

We don't just tell you.
You see it at the farm.

At LUMORA every lot has a farm, a family and a process. On these trips you walk that whole path with the people who grow the coffee, and then compare it in the cup.

  1. 1 · The farm

Walk the high-altitude coffee fields and see where and how each variety grows.

  2. 2 · The family

Have lunch with the people who produce it and hear their story at their own table.

  3. 3 · The process

Pulping, fermentation and drying: understand each step that changes the flavor.

  4. 4 · The cup

Side-by-side cupping of lots from different zones, so you taste the difference of origin.

If you are a roaster or buy green coffee and want to visit the farms, write to us and we will plan your route. See how we document origin ->

Itinerary · Tierra y Fuego (7 days)

This is what an
unforgettable week looks like.

Open each day. We'll send you the 4- and 10-day itineraries over WhatsApp.

We pick you up at the airport (SAL) and in 40 minutes you're at your boutique hotel in the upper part of the city. Welcome dinner with the LUMORA team: hand-made pupusas and the trip's first coffee, served that same night.
Early departure to the coffee-growing mountains. You walk the fields at dawn with the mist still low. Farm-style lunch with a producer family — what they eat, at their table.
Basket on your shoulder: you harvest ripe cherries alongside pickers who've done it for decades. Then you see the full processing — pulping, fermentation, drying on raised African beds. You understand why your cup costs what it costs.v>
Route to Santa Ana through the Apaneca mountain range. Long stop in Concepción de Ataco: murals on every wall, craft workshops, coffee on every corner. In the afternoon, a second farm — volcanic soils, a different cup profile.>
You climb the Santa Ana volcano (2,381 m): a four-hour hike to the crater with its turquoise lagoon. From the top you see Lake Coatepeque and the farms you visited yesterday. In the afternoon, a comparative tasting of lots from both regions.
You go down from the mountain to the sea: El Tunco, one of Central America's best waves. Surfing optional, hammock mandatory. Seafood dinner facing the Pacific with the sunset that closes out the trip.
Farewell breakfast and transfer to the airport. You leave with bags from the lot you tasted at the farm, roasted that week — and with a new way of understanding every cup you drink in Europe.v>

Who your trip supports

Your trip doesn't just visit the origin.
It sustains it.

LUMORA exists so Salvadoran coffee has a name and a future. Every tour is designed with the coffee-growing communities we visit — not around them.

01

The families who welcome you

Part of your tour's price goes straight to the producer families who open up their farm, their table, and their story.

02

Local work at every stage

Guides, cooks, drivers, and artisans from the same communities. The money from your trip stays where you travel.

03

The future of high-altitude coffee

Every visit proves that specialty coffee can support the next generation of coffee growers — so they don't have to migrate to make a living.

"When someone comes from so far away to see our work, you feel like all these years were worth it."
